Above the Fields
The exhibition "Above the Fields," featuring selected Iranian and international works from the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art's collection, will open at 4 PM on March 9th and will be open to visitors until May 5th, 2024.
This exhibition offers an opportunity to observe and explore the relationship between climate, nature, and artistic expression through a selection of nature-themed works from the museum's collection. The "Above the Fields" exhibition emphasizes the significant role of nature-inspired approaches in the history of visual arts worldwide. Throughout history, many artists have directly drawn inspiration from nature for their creations, with climatic and environmental conditions influencing their artistic themes and even giving rise to certain artistic movements and approaches.
The exhibition features 70 prominent works by renowned international and Iranian painters, including Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Jean Dufy, David Hockney, Ludwig Pete, Sohrab Sepehri, Abolghasem Saeedi, Parviz Kalantari, Jalal Shabahangi, Hossein Mahjoub, Farideh Lashai, Mirabdolreza Daryabeigi, Mahmoud Javadipour, Nasser Assar, Ali Azargin, Mohammad Radvand, Davood Emdadian, Ali Golestaneh, Manouchehr Niazi, Ali Mohammad Heydarian, Reza Shahabi, Mohsen Soheili, Ali Akbar Yasemi, and more.
